Rowan County 72-Hour Release Status
No verified Rowan County Sheriff page lists every release from the prior three days. The county's official inmate information gateway leads to Police-to-Citizen, or P2C. That interface searches people and booking episodes. It is not a rolling 72-hour release log. Official application review found inmate and recent-arrest paths, but no RecentReleases route. Treating recent arrests as releases would reverse the event being researched.
P2C may expose a past release date, expected-release date, reason, charges, bonds, court information, agencies, and holding facility for a named booking. Rowan controls the fields that are public. A three-day review therefore requires checking identified people one by one and comparing timestamps. It cannot prove the feed is complete because no such county feed exists. No verified Rowan sheriff mobile app supplies a separate three-day release list. County social posts can address a particular event, but they do not form a complete release archive.

A release record answers whether physical county custody ended, why it ended, and whether a different status began. “Released” does not mean the charge was dismissed. Bond and other pretrial release conditions can operate while a case continues. Transfer ends the Rowan booking but not confinement. An active probationer or parolee has left secure state custody but remains under supervision.

North Carolina's Public Records Act, Chapter 132, addresses access to government records, but it does not create one universal retention period for every Rowan booking and release record. Online display and official retention are different. A missing event could reflect a spelling issue, configuration limit, delayed update, sealed or expunged matter, data error, or a booking outside the stated coverage boundary.
For older or missing material, submit a precise request. Name the person and aliases, date of birth if known, booking number, and narrow date range. Rowan Release Systems Compared
The last known custody determines the next official source. The Rowan Detention Center and Jail Annex share a county release path. Piedmont Correctional Institution is a state prison and diagnostic center, so a disappearance there often means transfer to another prison rather than release. The NC DAC Inmate Releases search can accept Rowan plus month and year, or a surname. Do not combine those search paths. A result tied to Rowan is a reported state-prison release county, not evidence that the person left the Rowan County jail in the last 72 hours.
Confirm Missing Rowan Release Events
County records, court records, and notification systems answer different parts of the question. P2C establishes a sheriff booking episode. The Clerk's docket establishes case events and disposition. A notification does not replace direct agency confirmation when an imminent event matters because the source agency and feed timing control delivery.

The strongest statement combines an actual release event, a reason, and an independent legal record. A negative P2C search alone is not enough. Use the timestamp on each system. A notice that arrives during the three-day period may describe an event that occurred earlier, and a court entry may be posted after physical departure.
